Master Kong’s Befit Launches Collagen Peptide Floral Waters

Master Kong’s Befit brand has launched two new functional beverages: Collagen Peptide Rose Water and Collagen Peptide Jasmine Water, reflecting China’s growing interest in beauty-from-within and light functional drinks.

The products combine floral ingredients with collagen peptides and niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3. According to Foodaily, the rose version uses Pingyin double-petal rose from Shandong, while the jasmine version uses small-flower jasmine from Hengzhou, Guangxi. Each product contains ≥6,000 mg/L collagen peptides and 1.1 mg/100 ml niacinamide, and is positioned as low-calorie, low-sugar and 0-fat. The products are sold through Befit’s Taobao flagship store at RMB 43.88, approximately US$6.05, for eight 350 ml bottles.

The launch is notable because Befit is under Master Kong / Tingyi, one of China’s largest food and beverage companies. Tingyi’s beverage business is a major part of the company, giving Befit the scale and distribution potential to help bring functional beverage concepts into the mainstream.

What This Means for the Health Products Industry

This launch highlights continued opportunity in China for health ingredients that can move into everyday beverage formats. Collagen peptides, niacinamide and botanicals are being used to create lighter, more lifestyle-oriented products around beauty, wellness and low-burden consumption. For ingredient suppliers, functional beverages remain an important channel, but brands should ensure claims stay appropriate for ordinary food and beverage products rather than drifting into regulated health food or disease-related claims.
