Niagen Bioscience Launches Tru Niagen on Walmart.com

Niagen Bioscience has expanded distribution of its flagship Tru Niagen healthy-aging supplement through Walmart.com, giving U.S. consumers another major online retail channel through which to purchase the product.

Tru Niagen is based on nicotinamide riboside, a form of vitamin B3 that serves as a precursor to NAD+, a coenzyme involved in cellular energy production and other biological processes associated with healthy aging.

The Walmart.com launch broadens Niagen Bioscience’s e-commerce reach beyond its existing direct-to-consumer and marketplace channels. The company said the expansion is part of its strategy to improve consumer access while diversifying its digital retail presence.

The move also places Tru Niagen in front of Walmart’s large online customer base at a time when consumer interest in healthy aging, longevity and NAD+-related products continues to expand.

For Niagen Bioscience, the Walmart.com launch represents another step in building broader mainstream distribution for a product category that has historically been concentrated in specialty supplement retail and direct-to-consumer channels.

What this means for the dietary supplement industry

The launch highlights the continued movement of healthy-aging and longevity-focused supplements into mainstream retail. As products built around NAD+ metabolism gain wider consumer recognition, major retailers are becoming increasingly important distribution channels for science-based supplement brands.

For the broader dietary supplement industry, Niagen’s expansion onto Walmart.com illustrates how branded ingredients and clinically positioned products can transition from niche health channels into mass-market e-commerce. It may also increase competitive pressure within the NAD+ and healthy-aging category as more brands seek mainstream retail visibility.

As an HPA-Global member, Niagen Bioscience’s continued retail expansion also reflects the growing international commercialization of science-driven healthy-aging products.
