Truli Launches AI Platform to Manage Compliance Across the CPG Product Lifecycle

October 5, 2026

Truli has launched an AI-powered regulatory compliance platform designed to help food, beverage and dietary supplement companies manage compliance across the full product lifecycle—from formulation and ingredient review through packaging, claims, marketing and post-market monitoring.

The San Francisco-based company says its platform can ingest product formulations, ingredient lists, specification sheets, packaging artwork and other product information, then evaluate those materials against applicable FDA, USDA, FTC and state requirements as well as a company’s own internal compliance policies.

Rather than treating regulatory review as a single checkpoint, Truli organizes compliance around the individual product. This allows companies to identify potential issues earlier in development and continue monitoring those products as regulations, enforcement priorities and state requirements change.

The platform can review ingredients and formulations, Nutrition and Supplement Facts panels, allergen and ingredient declarations, required statements, product claims and packaging formatting. It can also compare claims against the underlying formulation and nutrition information to determine whether the available product data supports consumer-facing statements.

Once a product reaches the market, Truli can extend its monitoring to websites, retailer listings and social media while tracking regulatory developments, warning letters, enforcement actions, litigation and emerging state legislation.

According to Truli, its regulatory index currently covers more than 700 federal, state and international sources and approximately 50,000 individual regulatory sections. Findings link back to the underlying regulatory source so users can evaluate the issue and determine the appropriate action.

The launch comes as food and supplement companies face an increasingly complex U.S. regulatory environment, particularly at the state level. Truli estimates that nearly 300 bills involving food ingredients saw legislative activity across 43 U.S. states during 2026.

Truli says the platform is intended to automate much of the research and cross-referencing involved in regulatory review rather than replace regulatory professionals. Final compliance decisions remain with the company and its regulatory teams.

What this means for the industry

For dietary supplement and broader CPG companies managing large product portfolios, regulatory compliance is becoming increasingly difficult to treat as a periodic review process. Changes involving ingredients, claims, labeling or state requirements can affect numerous products simultaneously.

AI-based compliance platforms such as Truli represent a growing shift toward continuous regulatory monitoring, allowing companies to identify potential compliance problems earlier and understand which products may be affected when regulations change. For supplement companies operating across multiple U.S. states—or eventually multiple international markets—the ability to connect formulation, labeling, claims and marketing data could significantly reduce the manual work required to maintain compliance.
